Anti AI Coalition
We are calling on government leaders to enact legislation for the ethical and responsible use of AI
OUR CONCERNS
Job Loss
Goldman Sachs reports that 300+ million jobs, or 18% of the global workforce, could have their jobs completely computerized. We fear this number is much higher and targets well-paying jobs. Read the report.
Corporate Abuse
Corporate abuse and consolidation of power are a major risk. Do you want to rely on OpenAI, Microsoft, Google or any other big corporation to increase productivity and not layoff thousands of employees in the name of profits?
Copyright
AI is trained on 1+ trillion data points with no regard for copyright holders. AI image generation uses artists’ works to learn, fails to compensate creators and threatens to replace part, if not all, of their creative work.
Reliance
Reliance on AI puts citizens and businesses at-risk. Even the thought of universal basic income (UBI) neglects to consider that governments today think $1,200 can pay for months of expenses due to out-of-touch politicians,
Loss of Creativity
Creativity and imagination have inspired the world’s most beautiful buildings, artworks, books and more. If AI is allowed to take the creative aspect away from employees, we fear human-created arts will suffer.
Misinformation
AI and chatbots are already spreading convincing, mass misinformation. The companies that control these platforms will wield extreme power to misinform the population and create their own reality for the masses.
Lack of Legislation
Lawmakers are NOT paying attention to the risks AI poses to the general population. AI can help us find new medicines, solve complex problems, but it can also put hundreds of millions of people out of work in rapid time.
Wealth Consolidation
Lost jobs and an increase of productivity puts more money in the pockets of billionaires. The GDP may rise, but those still employed will be required to take on the roles of 4-5+ people without a major wage increase.
